Student Feedback
At the University of Minnesota, I have been instructor of record for EPSY 1261 (Understanding Data Stories through Visualization & Computing) and EPSY 3264 (Basic and Applied Statistics). Scroll to see what students have said about my teaching (from course evaluations and RateMyProfessors):
“Her expertise, excellent style of teaching, and frequent opportunities for in–class work and questions made this class one of the highlights of my semester. Every question and bit extra work I wanted to give myself was met with both enthusiasm and helpful curiosity, helping me propel my assignments into territory where I could explore and create rather than just fill out a sheet. I hope there will be more opportunities for me to takes classes taught by Regina again in the future.”

“TAKE THIS CLASS! I always recommend people to take the class, especially with Regina. She made an effort to get to know each student and made office hours readily available. She always gave clear feedback and made explanations of topics comprehendible to an average student. She made statistics so fun! She’s so sweet and hilarious too”

Hilarious Caring Accessible Outside Class
“Regina from the start of the semester displays a desire for her students to not only succeed but build skills that are applicable outside the class. Not only does Regina care about the success of the class the way she arranges and presents material is supported by good educational philosophy. Regina has high expectations for her class and supports them with resources throughout the semester.”

“She made sure we really understood the material and wouldn’t let us just skim by. She would make the class go through the correct code with her and even make some”mistakes” for us to correct. Truly an amazing professor!! I would love to take more classes with her!“

Inspirational Hilarious Caring
“Regina is awesome. I was dreading taking stats, but this has become my favorite class. She does a great job at creating a comfortable atmosphere for students. In class, you work through a workbook with small groups, and she reviews the questions together at the end of class. Each unit ends with a group quiz, and individual exam to do at home.”
